When most people think of detoxing, they think of not eating and just drinking juice or green smoothies, or maybe even just eating raw food salads.
I’ve done a few juice cleanses in my time (and also considered doing a water fast in a couple of desperate dark-night-of-the-soul times).
And they were TORTUROUS.
I can go until 2pm until I think about food if I’m super busy and get swept away (which is not good and I don’t recommend that!), but tell me I’m on a juice cleanse and I’m DYING of starvation at 8am.
Day 1 of the juice cleanse I think about food more than I ever have in my life, but the excitement and hope of healing is still there, getting me through. Read the rest of this post »
